Alvaro Valles is a free agent after the 27-year-old goalkeeper agreed to terminate his contract with Las Palmas.

Las Palmas have confirmed the departure of Alvaro Valles after both parties reached an agreement to terminate his contract, which runs until the end of the season, with immediate effect.

Valles has rejected a new contract from Las Palmas as his current deal expires in the summer of 2025, leading to the Islanders dropping the 27-year-old from the first-team squad and he has not featured in any games this season, but the player is unfazed by that and is only waiting to sign for boyhood club Real Betis upon release.

‘Las Palmas and the Seville goalkeeper have decided to end their contract after six seasons together. Vales, who joined the club in 2018, has ended his time in yellow.’

‘Las Palmas would like to thank Alvaro for his professionalism and dedication in defending the club’s crest and wish him the best of luck in his sporting and personal life in the future,’ the club said in a statement.

Real Betis, meanwhile, have made no moves to bring Valles to the club, meaning he will not sign straight away, but it is likely the Betis will allow the 27-year-old to train at the club to maintain his fitness before signing a deal in the future.
