Greenwood reveals first contact with Ten Hag after breaking scandal.
Mason Greenwood has made contact with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag for the first time since his charges were dismissed in early February.
The 21-year-old striker was originally due to appear in court in November. But Greater Manchester police announced last week that the Attorney General’s office had dropped all charges of rape, assault and coercion as the victim, his girlfriend, had reconciled.

Ten Hag declined to comment on the England forward last week. But The Sun now claim the pair had contacted by phone within days of the player’s allegations being dropped.
It was Ten Hag’s first contact with Greenwood since he took over as Red Devils manager last summer. All contact between the club and the player took place through third parties after his arrest in January last year.
Greenwood is under contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2025. He scored 35 goals in 129 games after making his senior debut in the Champions League in March 2019 England national team one match in 2020
