Chelsea extend Thiago Silva contract until 2024.
Thiago Silva has put pen to paper on a new contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2024.
The 38-year-old Brazilian centre-back is the backbone of the Blues’ defensive line. Since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020, he will become a free agent this summer. But most recently, the club has confirmed that he will stay in football at Stamford Bridge until next season.
“I’m very happy to continue my career with the Blues,” said Silva.
“When I signed my first contract here It’s only been one year. It’s now the 4th year! I can’t imagine But actually it was a very special moment for me to sign and stay at Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Chelsea chairman Todd Bohli and co-owner Behdad Eghbaly said: “We are delighted that Thiago has decided to stay at Chelsea. free agent this summer. But most recently, the club has confirmed that he will stay in football at Stamford Bridge until next season.
